What Are WRF Reflexology Volunteer Trainer Workshops?
Specialized trainings on how to teach non vocational Self-Help Reflexology workshops.
How long is the training?
Depending on prospective trainer’s background, experience, and willingness to diligently study, the training usually takes approximately three months of total training.
What is involved to be a WRF Volunteer Trainer?
WRF has a comprehensive training program to become a WRF Volunteer Trainer. Most participants are already certified professional reflexologists who have a genuine interest in the WRF Mission, and want to give freely of their time.
Currently, the classroom training consists of four days, usually two weekends, after which, WRF Trainers-in-Training are required to conduct two workshops during the next two months. Thereafter, a final meeting enables Trainers-in-Training to: debrief, share successes, discuss challenges, and gain additional insights from the WRF Master Trainers.
How are you trained?
Highly experienced WRF Master Teachers, conduct workshops in a safe, caring environment, first teaching how to use Self-Help Foot Hand Ear Reflexology, and then how to use Foot Hand Ear Reflexology on others.
After satisfactorily completing this first step of the instruction, the next level includes learning: How-to-Teach Self-Help Foot Hand Ear Reflexology, preparing a lesson, preparing the optimal learning environment, and other aspects of educational learning and teaching dynamics. This is followed by supervised practice teaching.
What qualifications do I need to become a WRF Volunteer Trainer?
In addition to having a strong desire to help people have better health by taking reflexology to the community, there are prerequisites. The prerequisites to enter the WRF Volunteer Trainer Program are, to have previous training of at least 28 hours of classroom instruction in Foot Reflexology from a hands-on training program, and experience performing Foot Reflexology.
Does WRF teach people to do reflexology professionally?
The WRF does not teach vocational professional Reflexology. The mission of the World Reflexology Foundation is to get Reflexology into the hands of as many people as possible throughout the world. Therefore our mission is to teach Self-Help Reflexology.
Where can I learn reflexology professionally?
If you would like to learn to do Reflexology professionally within the United States, you can do an Internet search for Vocational Reflexology schools. You can also check with the private vocational educational bureau in the state where you live. You could also contact the American Reflexology Certification Board ARCB, the Reflexology Association of America RAA, or the National Council For Reflexology Educators. In other countries, either do an Internet search or check with your national or regional governmental agencies.

Are there exclusions to where WRF Volunteer Trainers will Teach?
Yes. We would not encourage WRF Volunteer Trainers into areas where their health and well-being might be endangered because of war, pestilence, or other such life threatening dangers.
Could you train in other countries?
Yes. WRF Training Program is available in all countries where it is safe for WRF Volunteer Trainers to travel and participate in workshops.
Can children be trainers?
This is an area that the WRF will be exploring. Depending on the area of the world, the age of the child, and local cultural customs, it is possible, in the future, a children’s training program (for older children) might be considered.
How much does it cost to become a WRF Volunteer Trainer?
Our workshops are provided free of charge. Trainers volunteer their time and expertise to conduct workshops, although there is a small materials fee for the workbooks to cover the costs.
